Anthony Scott Burdge
Founder, Chairman and Webmaster of Heren Istarion


Anthony Scott Burdge was born in 1972 in Los Angeles, California. His studies range; including Norse Mythology, Medieval Literature, and Judeo-Christain ideology, Native American tradition and mysticism, Japanese Swordsmanship, and Medieval Re-enactment Combat. Currently he is an English Literature major at Hunter College. His interest in Tolkien grew from the age of eight, when he received his first copy of The Hobbit. Over the last decade Mr. Burdge has delved into the mythological world while studying the works of J.R.R. Tolkien. After joining the UK Tolkien Society, he inquired to bring the aims and goals of the Tolkien Society to New York City. Heren Istarion, New York's Tolkien Society was created in September 2000.
