PROGRAM
~ to include an abundance of all things Tolkien and Tolkien-inspired, for all ages ~

  • An exclusive screening of scenes from the Tolkien-inspired film, Ancanar
  • A presentation and display of the arms and armour of Middle-Earth and Ancanar, by master metalsmiths Joe Piela and Jenna Brocious of The Lonely Mountain Forge
  • A workshop on writing in Tengwar, the Elvish script designed by Tolkien
  • A presentation on horsemanship techniques during the Third Age
  • A discussion on Tolkien's impact, and the philosophical themes in his work, by Tolkien Scholars Eric Bronson and Andrew Light of NYU, authors of The Lord of the Rings and Philosophy copies will be available for purchase and signing
  • Favorite readings from Tolkien's works by the Heren Istarion staff and honored guests
  • Games demonstrations and Painting Workshops 12pm -- 5pm by the Games Workshop
  • Marymount Manhattan College and the principal developer of Countless Stories Susan Jacobson will be interviewing Tolkien fans
  • Middle-Earth costumes, cooking and trivia contests
  • A Dragon's Hoard of art, apparel, gifts, games and collectibles available for purchase

  • $5.00 for Adults ~ $3.50 for Children under 12 ~ $4.00 for Seniors
  • FREE for NY Tolkien Society Members and Marymount Students and Faculty
  • The first 50 people who purchase tickets or become a New York Tolkien Society member at the door will recieve a FREE collectible Gollum movie poster from The Return of the King, courtesy of New Line Cinema
