| Bilbo & Frodo's Birthday Party September 22, 2002 
As
our group formed Heren Istarions fellow New Yorkers and Tolkien
Fans shared their own visions of Middle Earth, while enjoying
many tasty delicacies. 
The
center of the event was our trivia game, in which mostly everyone
went home with their own birthday gift, some went home with two
or three! We were truly impressed by the great Tolkien and
Lord of the Rings knowledge that the grand prize winners (Halle,
Hannah and Tamar)possessed.(They are the three in the foreground
holding their winnings!) The other winners:Leo(behind and left
of the girls, Christine (right of Leo),Dennis and James(far right).
In the center are Heren Istarion Chairman(Anthony),Co-Chair(in
front of Anthony) and Stephanie with her brother and fellows hobbit
Danny. 
Afterward, the Chairman, Co-Chair(right) and all posed for a moment together...But what is this? Is our Chair Anthony claiming Isildur's Bane for himself? and Co-Chair Jessica becoming Gollum-like? We shall see... This set of LOTR movie tie in books and others were given to our winners, a special thank you to our great friends at Houghton Mifflin for providing them. |
