Become a Member of Heren Istarion:
The North East Tolkien Society!

Heren Istarion is an unincorporated association with the goals of becoming a registered non-profit organization. All proceeds from memberships go to the upkeep of the society, organizing events i.e. venue costs, guests etc, expenses of running our website and publishing our journal.

The Society publishes 4 to 6 issues a year of their journal Parma Nole, which provides a balance of book reviews, interviews, opinion pieces, columns and scholarly pieces furthering the appreciation and understanding of Tolkien's work. If you are interested in submitting work please review our submission guidelines

The Society holds one annual event, "Ringbearers Day", and takes part in Gathering of the Fellowship, membership includes a subscription to Parma Nole, member id card, occasional goodies (see below) and discounted rates to events, and extra chances to win in contests.

Membership in the society is open to everyone. International subscribers please inquire for postage rates at email below.

If you renew or upgrade before your current membership renewal is due, we will credit you the extra time on a monthly basis. For instance, if your renewal is in June, and you decide to renew in March, we will credit you those two months, making your next year's renewal August 2005.
