Author Anne. C. Petty appearing at DragonCon 2004
DragonCon 2004 Tolkien Scholar and author Anne C. Petty will be reading an excerpt of the chapter about Tolkien's Dragons from her recently published exploration into the Dragons of Fantasy (download a PDF of our review here). Professor Petty will also be speaking about her current research into Tolkien's Finnish influences. DragonCon 2004 is held from September 3-6 in Atlanta, GA. Everyone with a serious interest in Tolkien's invented languages is invited to participate, and encouraged to prepare, bring, and deliver a paper on any aspect of Tolkien's languages. The program will consist of listening to and discussing the papers; as well as meeting each other, breaking bread together, and generally enjoying each other's company.
