MAY 2005 NEWS ARCHIVE May 22nd 2005 GOTF 2006 It's official The next Gathering of the Fellowship Convention will be held once again in Toronto, Canada at the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel, on the long weekend of July 1st. to 4th., Saturday to Tuesday, 2006. The NorthEast Tolkien Society Chairs: Anthony and Jessica, have been designated as Programming Directors for this event and have begun to bring to fans the best in Tolkien Scholarship and fandom. It is our desire to not only host a conference of the top Tolkien Scholars but add the best elements of fandom for all! If you enjoy, academia, art, music, costuming, gaming, film and more then join us as we celebrate the Professor's work. We have currently 8 programming tracks dedicated to various areas of Tolkien fandom and seek participants. We also know that this event would not be made possible without fan participation, this event is for the whole of the Tolkien community, if you would like to participate in presenting programming, whether its an academic paper, art, music, costuming etc, then check out the programming page for more details and send us your submission.
